Research Interests
Quantitative mixing for battery manufacturing (wet & dry): physics-based flow modeling, numerical simulation, and data-driven prediction of dispersion/blend quality.
Pressure-driven oscillatory rheometry: flow modeling and simulation, theoretical prediction of complex modulus 𝐺^∗(𝐺′,𝐺′′), and development of accurate sinusoidal flow generation.
PTFE fibrillation in dry electrodes (powder rheology): quantification via shear-cell flowability, compressibility, and wall-friction metrics; development of process–quality indicators.
Powder-rheology-based hopper & feeder design: shear-cell metrics to resolve ratholing/arching and optimize screw feeder performance.
Continuous twin-screw processing: theoretical prediction and experimental validation of wet-process conditions, RTD modeling, CFD/experimental screw-element characterization, and prediction of mixing/dispersion efficiency.
Swirl-element design for subsea separation systems: Eulerian multiphase CFD and swirl-flow quantification theory; Energy dissipation rate-based system characteristic-curve development.
Electrochemical performance linkage (LFP/NCM/graphite): correlating cell fabrication and process conditions with EIS/performance outcomes.
